# The DeBary Volunteer Fire Support Team

> The DeBary Volunteer Fire Support Team (legal name: The DeBary Volunteer Firemen's Association, Inc., also known as DVFA) is a volunteer association in DeBary, Volusia County, Florida, founded on June 23, 1953 as the area’s first volunteer fire department. Today it supports the firefighters and other emergency responders who protect DeBary (fire service is provided by the Orange City Fire Department under contract with the City of DeBary) through fire-safety education, fundraising for equipment, and on-scene firefighter rehabilitation with its support vehicle “Support 33”. It is a 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organization (contributions are not tax-deductible as charitable contributions). It never fundraises door-to-door.
