The DeBary Volunteer Fire Support Team
Big News! In order to more accurately represent our purpose and activities in and around the City of DeBary, we have filed a new name (DBA) for our group: “The DeBary Volunteer Fire Support Team”.
We feel that this new name will lessen any confusion between our organization and the City of DeBary Fire Department (which is actually staffed by the Orange City firefighters). We will be keeping our existing name, “The DeBary Volunteer Firemen’s Association”, as our overall legal identity. We thank you all for your continued support!
Originally, the DVFA was organized as the first fire department to serve the area which is now known as the City of DeBary, long before it became a city. We have evolved over the years, but we still exist to serve the citizens and visitors through promotion of Fire Safety Ideals, and through fundraising and other support for the Emergency Responders in the city.
The DeBary Volunteer Firemen’s Association is a 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organization.
Did you know?
Association members currently give about 2,000 volunteer hours per year to the city and residents of DeBary — and more than 1,500 men and women have served since the group was formed in 1953.
